You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit, fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. John 15:16

Do Good Works Count?

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10

Child of God, if there is a time to guard your doctrine, it is now. Many high profile preachers are now saying “Good works do not count”. They quote what is acceptable biblically and go on to explain what is not biblical. So it is important you guard your doctrine, don't let anyone snuff out your light. Yes, God said in the Word that salvation is not by works... but did he say, good works do not matter as Christians? The answer is that He even saved us for good works. Eph 2.10, Titus 2.14. Our salvation was not by good works we did, but we are saved that we may do good works for which we were created and saved in Christ. This is the point. If a Child of God continues to do evil or enjoy sin after he has been saved, such a life has no testimony and light. So he is still in darkness, for we were delivered from sin through the blood of Christ. Yet if we fall in sin we should remember we have an advocate with the Father - see 1Jn 2:1. Christ "gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works." Titus 2:14

If we continue in sin our good works become filthy rags before Him. So good works are necessary after we are saved by grace. But if we continue deliberately in sin after we are saved, in pretext that good works do not matter, then it is like committing suicide, for faith without work is dead.
