You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit, fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. John 15:16

Have You Found Rest in Christ?

"For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his." Heb 4:10

Our world today is full of anxieties and turbulence rising from uncertainties of life and living. Finding rest for your dear soul has become something you must desire and pursue earnestly. Many in the world are paying grossly looking for happiness.

But, there was an undeniable example of peace and sound mind in Christ, during His earthly ministry. Not only that He was never in a hurry pursuing anything or anxious of what life would offer. No. Christ did not fret or worry but he prayed. The wind and the storm obeyed His voice! Christ Himself invites us to learn from Him "Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls."

Are you labouring and worried, are you going through hardship, are your friends leaving you because of the present situation? Are people paying you evil for good? "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Christ invites! Now, up to you!

Rest at work: Those who are labouring and worried need rest! Not a day off to rest and sleep, but rest at work. Jesus saw the Father work and did likewise, even on the Sabbath. He went ahead to explain that it was Godly to do good on the Sabbath. So works of redemption and bringing the dead to life is the right work in His rest. "For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will."

So if we must learn of Him, we must do likewise. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. God is working for you, so work with Him. This is your rest!
