You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit, fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. John 15:16

Keep Your Eyes on Jesus

And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.” – Matthew 14:29-30

Peter trying to see where the storm was coming from, removed his eyes from Jesus. And guess what, he started sinking right there. If you want to see where the storm of life is coming from, you will always remove your eyes from Christ, the author and finisher of our faith. This will remove your eyes from mercy, grace and abundant life that is always available in Christ. Look, if you are dying and fix your eyes on Him, you will live again. Have you lost your way? Trace the compass, come back to Him. Are you deceived? Look unto Jesus. The fool repeats the same mistake and hopes to get a different result. No one else can claim to be the way, the truth and the life! Jesus is the only one.

Thank God that Peter quickly called out for Jesus at that moment. Jesus saved him from his backsliding – for he doubted! Stop listening to understand what the critics are saying or trying to join issues with passing wind. To do so is to sink. Don't!
